Jona Infrastructure proudly participated in TIP Live 2023, an exclusive series of transformative events dedicated to propelling Infrastructure Performance forward. Co-convened by influential organizations such as the Infrastructure and Projects Authority (IPA), Infrastructure Client Group, Construction Leadership Council, and the National Infrastructure Commission, and hosted by ICE, the event immersed itself in in-depth discussions on the intricacies of infrastructure delivery and the roadmap to success.
The day kicked off with a powerful Ministerial address by Rt Hon John Glen MP, shedding light on the significance of Transforming Infrastructure Performance (TIP) and its pivotal role in major infrastructure projects. Cat Little, Second Permanent Secretary at HM Treasury, provided valuable insights into the position of infrastructure investment within the public sector hierarchy.
Enlightening workshops on Productivity, Value Toolkit, and MMC/Platforms featured prominently, offering valuable perspectives into the government's use of AI at No 10 and its potential applications in infrastructure delivery. Discussions on PAS 2080 underscored the crucial role of carbon management solutions in infrastructure development, addressing the pressing issue of UK Greenhouse Gas emissions associated with infrastructure.
A dynamic panel discussion with industry leaders stressed the urgent need for planning reform and a steadfast commitment to openness. The resounding takeaway echoed through the event — the cost of inaction is too high. Now, more than ever, a long-term strategy is imperative, and adherence to TIP principles is the key to success.
